Desolation Wilderness
Desolation Wilderness is a well-known region in California's Sierra Nevada, southwest of Lake Tahoe in El Dorado County. It straddles the Sierra crest and is high and rugged, but lower than the high peaks of the Sierra further south. This view is looking north from the east flank of Keith Dome, at about 8,400 feet elevation. Jack's Peak is towards the left, and Dick's Peak is the main one at center right.
