Triodanis biflora
This wispy but attractive plant in the Campanulaceae is uncommon in California, though widely distributed.
I had never managed to see it in flower until May 31 2017, when I took these images on a serpentine slope in a moist spot in an open brushy area that had burned two years earlier, along Butts Canyon Road in Napa County. The common name is Venus Looking Glass. A second species occurs in California but is even less common. Image 1484.
