Burr Headstones - St Bartholomew's Church of England Cemetery, Prospect.
This headstone belongs to the Burr Family who lived in the Prospect District (near Parramatta) for many years in the 19th Century. From the left is - Mary Ann Burr (nee Dean) b.1832 and died 13 August 1915. Middle - William Burr b.1808 (convict) who died 30th October 1900 and right - Elizabeth Sarah Burr (daughter of William and Mary Ann Burr) who died 17th April 1886.
Mary Ann Dean was the daughter of John Dean and Sarah Snowden.
All were pioneers living in Western Sydney in what is now the City of Blacktown.
This photo was taken in the early 80s - the headstone has deteriorated considerably over the years to the extent the writing is now almost illegible.
William Burr and Mary Ann Dean are my (GGGG Grandparents).
