Funeral procession of 15 Australian soldiers killed in Western Australia, March 1943
Fifteen Australian soldiers of the 4th Australian Infantry Battalion mainly from Western Sydney were killed when a mortar exploded during a training exercise on the 15th March 1943 at Moora, Western Australia went off unexplained.
This is a photographed of the funeral procession for the soldiers.
Please note: (controversial comment) that these 15 AUSTRALIAN soldiers serving in Australia and killed in Australia, were buried under the Union Jack, a flag of another country and not their own flag. So much for the theory (myth) that these soldiers fought under the current Australian flag.
My Great Uncle - Reginald Roy Sanders from Wentworthville, NSW was one of the soldiers killed.
