Tenterfield Railway Station - looking north 1988

In 1988, this was the northern terminus of the NSW Main Northern line. The line actually continued to the border town of Wallangarra but this service ceased in 1972. This station was itself within 12 months (when this photo was taken) of being shut down by the NSW Greiner Government in 1989 when severe cutbacks to rail services in the NSW country occured.
