Odd move
I was surprised to find this train arriving at the Winona UP yard on a Saturday evening, with a very unusual consist. It appeared to be the usual Adams turn (which typically leaves here on Friday evenings and doesn't return until late Sunday night), but consisted of just this lone GP38-2 and a solid train of around 12 of these old C&NW covered hoppers without the caboose normally used on this run.
It would have been quite a nice train to see out on the road, but unfortunately I intercepted it at Tower CK just as they shoved into the yard to tie up and catch a taxi.
