Central tower with early Norman arches (c 1120) and a ceiling painted c 1912.

The historic Minster in Wimborne, Dorset dominates the small town like a mini-cathedral and it has done since Saxon times.

The exterior is dominated by two contrasting towers; the huge Central Tower which dates from the Norman era but was topped by a large spire until 1600.

The taller but slimmer Western Tower was built in the Perpendicular Gothic style to house the peal of bells.
