I discovered this catacombe of passages, ten-feet below street level, (where perishable food like fish stays cooler !) at the market in Area-1 . . . just two minutes walk from my bungalow !!
Twenty criss-crossed passages, in the cellars under the shops, each with 40 or fifty stalls -- selling just about everything from pig's heads & ten different kinds of fish, to leather sandals, kitchenware, and the inevitable cell-phones !!
And, of course, everything stays open until 10.p.m., seven nights a week !
