Winnie the Pooh topper

The requests for this cake were -

a baby with a turban

indian drums (tablas)

winnie the pooh (holding a balloon) and tigger

strawberries on the cake

 

Wasn't really happy with this cake to be honest..I liked the figurines but didn't like the strawberries on the cake and I find working with buttercream really hard...sigh..guess just need lots more practise..the main thing was that they were really happy with it...it was for a little boy's first birthday and his family is sikh..hence the request for the baby wearing a turban - they wanted something half traditional and half modern!

 

The cake was buttercake with buttercream icing.

 

The figurines style were inspired by a Donna Makes Cakes design
