Catalina Island Trip Avalon Marina
Catalina Island is located 26 miles off the coast of Southern California. It is part of Los Angeles county and has a small town know as Avalon where most people dock at. You can take a plane or a boat, depending on the way of travel it can take 1 to 4 hrs to get there. We traveled out of Newport Beach in Orange County on a Catamaran called the Catalina Flyer. The trip was just over an 1hr. It moved pretty good. Avalon is a quiet little town with a tourist flare. Not a lot to do there but a nice relaxing day.
