A Wonderful Desert Morning
My first morning in the Thar desert was memorable for me and I can imagine it was for these folks on camels as well. My two great kind guides from the hotel were determined that I fulfilled my dream of photographing the Thar desert.
The two young men were dressed in long flowing white shirts that covered their loose fitting white pants. It is the dress one frequently sees in the desert. As often as I have witnessed the stunning contrast of the stark white against the warm beige of the sand, I still feel the wonder of being in an exotic world.
India is a land of visual treats, from the colorful clothing to the influence of Bollywood. The young men joined me in rejoicing over finding or creating great scenes to photograph like this one of tourists enjoying the sunrise.
