(Continuation of story)
Transiting the spectacular area of Chile where glaciers framed the landscape was one of the highlights of the cruise. There was an enclosed observation deck where one could stay warm while watching the stunning show that nature created. It was mesmerizing.
Luckily I wandered out onto the deck from time to time to take a few pictures. It was a time to leave all of the nonsense and drama that humans create behind and gaze upon the spectacle called nature.
This is the probably the last time I will ever experience such bitter cold and the last time I will ever see ice. My body is just too climatized to warm weather so these memories are quite special to me.
