The Spirit of the World ( On and Off)
Portugal/Spain (7)
(Continuation of story from 1st post on Portugal)
So Marvin and I set off on our road trip to Morocco. Spot stayed in Portugal with a sitter. We stopped in several small places in Portugal so he could look at apartments/condos and then we crossed over into Spain.
Suddenly, the sun seemed to be shining more intensely and there was an exuberance in the air. We stopped for picnics in the beautiful parks along the way. Wine, cheese and bread made up our meals. I still think that this is the perfect lunch.
Spain did remind me of California and Marvin thought the same thing. We looked at condos for him, but I could tell he didn't really want to leave Portugal and move to Spain. So strange indeed. We had both fallen in love with Portugal which was mired in the past.
Malaga was a definite stop, however. We admired the ancient stone walls and of course went high into the hills to take a picture of the bull ring. You have seen that shot a million times before so here is one of an ad for a bullfight.
We took few pictures along the way. We were quite excited to get to the Straits of Gibraltar.
