A Rare Find
This is Bin Ali"s Tomb. Mind you, I was hardly the first person to see this interesting onion- shaped mosque and the grave yard that surrounds it, but it was quite surreal and is imbedded in my memory. The man is my driver who wanted to stop and say hi to the men who work at the site.
Bin Ali was the descendant of the son in law of the Prophet Muhammad and died in 1160. The graves, many with markers, also date back 1000 years. In all of my travels, this historical site ranks as one of the most unusual and fascinating.
