Up On the Roof
I let the chickens out of their yard into the backyard where they love to get in the, as yet, unplanted garden to scratch and dust. I heard a soft “bark” and turned around to find this lovely couple on the roof of our house. I don’t know if these Black Vultures wanted to join the chickens in the garden, or eat them! After watching for awhile, the female (on the right, I think) gave a couple more “woofs”, turned her back and flew in the opposite direction off the roof. The male dutifully followed. Chicken was not on the menu for this evening! Texture by Lenabem.
