40650 Prototype
I built something!
A year ago or so I was approached by a colleague who wanted some help with a minifigure Land Rover. We ended up building it together over a few sittings where we’d sit with bricks, drink coffee and bounce ideas off eachother.
It was one of the most enjoyable design tasks I was ever a part of in my 21 years at LEGO, even though not everything I found important made the cut into the final product. I really wanted that spare on the hood, really wanted mudflaps, and I’m not keen on the color that’s maybe very much LEGO Creator, but in my opinion not very much Land Rover. Yes, even though Camel Trophy cars were painted like that. So here you have it, the Landy how I like it.
