A lucky visit by a pair of Rosellas today yielded lots of nice photos of them. I thought these two were appropriate for the movie quote!
In the movie Casablanca, Bogart toasts Bergman, and he uses that line, "Here's looking at you, kid." In the movie, Bogart is trying to illustrate that he loves looking at Bergman so that's why he says it. It is obviously not grammatically correct but Bogart played a lot of gangsters in his movies, so he didn't always speak correctly. It doesn't take away from the beauty of the line, rather it makes it more poignant.
