Our Daily Challenge ... compassion.
This is a composite of three shots. The pigeons were taken today but the ducklings are from a couple of weeks ago. They had wandered off from their parents and so were at risk without protection from the adults. Unfortunately only a few days later they were all gone ... taken by any one of many possible predators. The young of any species need adults to protect, guide and teach them life skills. Human children are no different from baby ducklings, without care they will be lost. It is the responsibility of all of us to look out for them if they are at risk and take appropriate action not just turn a blind eye.
