238/365 Bridge Over Troubled Water
When I was thinking of doing this picture the song “Bridge Over Troubled Water” came to mind, it talks of how a friend will be that bridge over troubled water. Life has been a bit stormy lately and it can feel overwhelming. It can feel like there is a big wide chasm between the situation and finding resolution and you wonder how you’ll ever get to the side of resolution. It’s in these situations that I really come to realize how much God is in control and how Jesus is that bridge over troubled water. In the large picture of life His death on that cross is the bridge that gives us access to God the Father, our willingness to walk across that bridge enables us to lay down our burdens realizing that there is a God who is bigger who is willing and wanting to help us through.
And in our day to day lives there are those who are the hands and feet of Christ who can help us through the tough times, who can give us a different perspective and be that bridge to resolution. Because sometimes when you’re in the midst of the storm you can’t always see and hear clearly, it’s in those times that it is good to have the strength, wisdom and discernment of friends.
When you have walked through the storm how ever long that may be, one day you wake up and realize you are out of the storm and thank God for His great faithfulness, grace and mercy.
