Horsemoor Signal Box
Horsemoor box on the outskirts of March, was supplied to the GER by signalling engineers - Dutton & Co. of Worcester in 1899 and contained a 25 lever frame of their manufacture. Although to the GE Type 7 design, the structure had distinguishing features peculiar to the makers, such as single upper horizontal glazing bars and a roofed landing as per contemporary Dutton Type 3 boxes. The crossing was converted to barriers in 1976 controlled from the box which finally succumbed on 13th November 1988. I believe the box ended-up in a reclamation yard in Wisbech.
