Wichita Sessions - Behind The Scenes

Jeff Eaton, of Split Lip Rayfield, doing a pre-show sound check. Jeff plays a rather unique instrument, it's an form of wash tub bass. In 1995 Jeff created a variation of the wash tub base using an old Ford gas tank, yes off a vehicle, a home made wooden neck and a single string of Weed Wacker cord. Not only is it playable, but he plays it very well. SLR has been around for over a decade and a half playing all over the country.

The second season of Wichita Sessions on PBS. Season two will air fall of 2010. Wichita Sessions is a show where musical performers play live in Diver Studio, an art gallery in the Art District of Wichita, Kansas and the shows are taped for playback later in the year.
