Ile au Lièvre
I am back from my trip, I spent 2 days on an island in the middle of the Saint Lawrence river, a island named Hare Island or in french Ile au Lièvre, a fairly narrow 13km piece of land covered in forest. As tends to be typical on holidays with my family we did not spend much time sitting around, we hiked many of the trails on the island bringing us to the rocky heights of the island, along the shore and in forests covered in moss and lichen, I needed a little respite from the respite in the days after my return home on late into Thursday ;-D At the point we were in the river the water is saltwater and is affected by tides so it is quite like being surrounded by the see though you can see both shores in the distance. Along with this portrait of Edrelle in the hideout of the guild I included a few photos I took on the island, a glimpse of the rocky shore and the trees perched along its edge, a glimpse of grassy forest with trees adorned with bearded lichen, a glimpse of the northern shore looking mysterious among the fog and a glimpse of shards of shale rock which come in a number of hues, like orange and purple.
