Ginghamsburg - Project Neighborhood
Project Neighborhood: Ginghamsburg is committed to rebuilding Dayton, named by Forbes magazine in August 2008 as one of the 10 fastest dying cities in America, one block at a time. Their Fort McKinley campus, located in an urban “at risk” Dayton community, has adopted 15 blocks behind its campus as the first neighborhood for revitalization and renewal. Throughout the warm weather seasons of the year, teams of Ginghamsburg servants from all campuses partner with Fort McKinley neighbors on clean-up and repair projects for private homes across those 15 blocks. Last year, teams invested 3270 hours into 195 households. Our kick-off for Project Neighborhood in 2010 is April 24 & 25.
