Standing Stones
The prehistoric stone circle at Machrie Moor on the island of Arran has a diameter of 13.7 metres, and may originally have consisted of seven or eight tall sandstone slabs, three of which survive intact, their heights ranging from 3.7 to 4.9 metres. The mountain behind the stones is Goat Fell. It's a wild almost mystical place.
