Spring Scarf

Lightweight and colorful

The spring scarf looks different than the winter scarf. The colors are softer: more pink and less red. The patterns are organic. With the exception of gingham, spring patterns have fewer straight lines. The fabric is silk, cotton, or linen instead of wool or acrylic.

I’m an all-year scarf fan, but it’s pretty tough to wear one in Sacramento’s summer (with the exception of air-conditioned interiors). I front load my lightweight scarves as early in the season as possible. It might have been cool enough for something heavier, but I’m ready for the lighter look of the spring scarf.

Jacket, BCBG Max Azria (consignment). Sweater, Forever 21 (thrifted). Tunic, Rachel Roy (consignment). Jeans, Old Navy. Boots, Dan Post. Sunglasses, Earthbound Trading Co. Earrings, flea market. Scarf, Urban Outfitters.
