autumn prelude
Had some unexpected free time late yesterday afternoon that I used to make the first fall leaves photos of this year. The trees have just begun to color up around here and my personal forecast will put the peak @ 2-3 weeks from now. Last year seemed to have a particularly vibrant foliage season that was amazing until it got knocked down by a wind storm, for some reason I'm feeling that this year's color won't be quite as dynamic, but who knows. I made this shot at Sieur de Mont in Acadia, found the scene at about 6:20 and by the time I left these leaves it was nearly pitch dark, but I was still having a blast shooting this scene, cameras are amazing in that regard. Also, very few mosquitos and I saw a great huge bard owl just prior to getting to this spot but my 100mm didn't do it justice. where's Arlo West when you need him? Right on, have a nice day everyone and thanks for looking- Nate.
