predawn otter cliff winter ocean

according to the forecast last night there won't be sky color again until tuesday or maybe wednesday, and i wanted to make something new, so i made to get up extra early to be onsite. Weegee said "f/8 and be there" i figure the hardest part of making a good landscape photo is being somewhere amazing at the right time, the rest is just going through the motions-like. i mean sometimes, about maybe 3 in 10 times i'll get to a gorgeous place in the park with the skies blowing up with beauty and i'm running tripping and falling in the snow bouncing from this foreground to that one just knowing that chances are that something will look good later. other times it's kind of a bust so instead of just giving up i like to hear the sound of the shutter go and thereby, try to make something happen. so this is one of those times of that latter example, but in the end i really kind of like it. shot at f/4.0 to limit depth of field and more suggest the features of Otter cliffs than show them. have a nice day from Maine USA.
