Laurarama says: I always admire the beauty of the dogwood tree in full bloom. I never have stopped to take a close look at the blossoms. I love Miss Tessmacher's composition, exposure and her choice of dof. She gives us lovely view of these papery, delicate flowers.

Laurarama says: I love these two old car readouts side-by-side, the weathered appearance and beautiful textures and details captured make this quirky image a winner for me. The past comes to life when you view this one in the lightbox.

Laurarama says: One of the things a good photograph can do is take us to another place or even another time. I'm so glad that Nick has a person in the frame to show how enormous these beautiful trees are. It's quite humbling to see how small we are in comparison and to ponder what that means. They are a link to a pre-historic time, a time when giants roamed the earth.

Laurarama says: This is a beautifully composed shot. I love the silhouette of the gondola and driver against the exquisite colors of the sunset over the canal. A wonderful view of Venice.

Laurarama says: An interesting twist on the selective color. Where you may expect to see the beach huts the subject of color. Ruth chose to go the opoosite route and the effect is rather striking.

Laurarama says: The foreground is getting the largest piece of the compositional pie here and rightly so. The etchings and mirror like reflections are stunning. My eye is drawn along the lines to the boulders and then that marvelous sky. Stunning scene.

Laurarama says: The waves crashing on the rough unforgiving rocks, makes for a very powerful and dramatic scene. Probably not a good spot to go swimming but a very fine place for photography. Gorgeous work.

Laurarama says: This shot made me stop a moment to contemplate what it is I was seeing. A library of course and the a trio of arches make this a lovely architectural composition. But the element that makes this shot so interesting is the light and resulting shadows which transform this image into an intricate beauty.

Laurarama says: The underside of a Gerbera, Some lovely things happening here including the gorgeous color, pov and furry detail. I also love the quirky little petal dropping down. This is one to see in the lightbox.

Laurarama says: I love the wonderful use of natural framing. The tree alone would make a wonderful subject but Jeff has framed the shot so the gnarly arm curls around the land feature. Is it a sinister or loving embrace...that's for each viewer to decide.
