The surface of the earth is about 70% water. A recent lab analysis found that my photostream is also 70% water the remaining 30% is hot air. Today I went exploring in the tide pools and spotted this nice looking shell. I went to pick it up and bring it to higher and drier ground but a gentle pull in the opposite direction let me know it was still occupied. It startled me a bit to feel the fullness of life inside the pearly spiral hull since most of the shells along the shore are empty.
