rough seas
Hurricane Sandy ~ A fairly dry storm we did not get much rain in south Florida but strong winds and much higher tides. The pier is closed due to waves averaging thirteen feet. Waves washing over the sides can easily knock people around or even into the sea. This is the first photo of this pier that I've taken, during the daylight hours, with not a single soul on it. It's so odd to have such beautiful skies with howling winds and raging seas. Good luck to all still in Sandy's path.
