the muse
The muses are goddesses of ancient Greek mythology that inspire humans to create. Muses are all around us and take many forms. This was just a simple moment at our house last night. She was sitting and looking up at me as we were talking. Looking at her eyes, the pupils large in the dimly lit room, I knew I must make her portrait right there. She usually dislikes when I take a photo of her when her hair is up and her makeup is worn away from the long day but she must have seen in my face that the photo must be taken and surprisingly my muse agreed. There are two mysteries here, one is the mystery of inspiration that tells us what and where to point our camera and second is the mystery in those eyes. I doubt I will ever unlock it. Another surprise as well, she likes the portrait :)
