Hemlock trees with huckleberry in fall color and first snow of fall. Mt. Baker Wilderness. Washington Gitzo tripod (GT3530LS) Really Right stuff Ballhead (BH 55 LR). Published name: Dennis Frates. I live in Wilsonville, Oregon. I had spent many days in this area photographing the autumn huckleberry you see here, and felt I captured some good images. On this day I was blessed with the first snowfall of the season. I had the place to myself, and only a short amount of time before the snow melted. I knew the scene was special, but I waited until the low clouds in the background appeared adding to the mood. It was one of the most special moments I have ever spent in the mountains. Lens Canon 24-70 2.8L. All other camera data is in "Camera Data".
