Parsons Challenge
To approach this challenge I took an object that I use everyday (my car a.k.a. “The Piece”) as the lens through which I transition through my daily habits. Specific views through the car are collected to become a sketchbook of sorts, mapping the important thresholds of my day as I go from one state of mind to another. The sites I chose were my home, my school, and my local yoga studio. The windows and mirrors function as doorways into these experiences. By overlapping the images and their text, the construct allows the viewer to become the driver in my daily routine. This allows the viewer to notice what I have taken for granted through a commonly overlooked medium, my car, and creates a new spatial experience.
