One of the first Tear Drops

1933 Alfa Romeo GS 1750 6C Coupe' by Figoni & Falaschi that the Italian born French (Paris) coachbuilder created for the 1933 Paris Auto Show where the design caused huge interest in the emerging Art Deco car design movement. With it's DOHC supercharged engine, it was raced in the 1935 LeMans winning it's class and finishing an amazing 6th over all against some much larger machines. Compare this sleek , light/low/long design with any 1933 American design, as it took the Americans many years to really take wind tunnel, smooth designs seriously.
