You Win Some...
So I had set up on Kansas City's 18th St. viaduct on the city's east side, waiting on the arrival of the UP Big Boy. The sliver of available light was getting slimmer and slimmer, but I had finally seen that the Big Boy was on the move towards me from Sheffield as of 18:05.
Just six minutes later, we saw this westbound coming towards us on Main 1, and it looked fantastic eating up the last gasp of the day's light. Alas, the Big Boy was just out of view here behind the viaduct.
I'm happy to have nailed this shot of BNSF's Q CHILAC 14A at a location that I've never photographed before, but maaaaaaaaaan, it would've been nice to have been able to get the 4014 here instead.
