Alllll by myself redux
Anytime you're chasing mainline steam, it's always such a pleasant surprise when you come across a location that's not loaded down with approximately 3,247 Card-Carrying Goobers. In this case, the SunCalc.net app on my phone pointed me towards this interesting looking, relatively well-lit curve that was just west of Braymer, MO. To my surprise, when everyone else was gathered in the town itself, there was only one other guy at this crossing; a local who rolled up in his pickup and proclaimed "You've got a really nice spot here. There're about 3,000 assholes over there in Braymer," lol.
After spending the morning operation on an HO scale L&N layout north of KC, I continued my foray into Missouri to chase the southern third of CPKC's Final Spike Tour trip from Nahant Yard in Davenport, IA - Kansas City, MO.
For future reference, this is looking east from Bethany Dr., just south of State Route 116. Video of this train can be found here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=k8vKVCuaXwQ
