Sunset Consolation

After finishing up at work today, I looked off to the east and saw some incredible storm lighting that was BEGGING to be photographed. Even better, there was a fresh UP repaint on a westbound that was parked at Grantville, but unfortunately, it was parked there due to a trio of eastbounds that were on their way, and it didn't run until after sunset.

However, I was able to photograph the second of these eastbounds in a completely different fashion than initially anticipated, nicely showing off its silhouette, and the beautiful Kansas sunset.

This is the UP GS3GAI 03, an El Paso, TX to Allen, IL grain train, led by the UP 7663, a 2007-built C45ACCTE. This in on the far northeast side of Topeka at the bridge over Soldier Creek, just south of US 24.
