Sure enough, this view from the Bowes Creek Blvd. overpass on the far northwest side of Elgin is technically still Elgin.
This is CN's train 337, the daily westbound from Kirk Yard in Gary, IN to Waterloo, IA. This particular location came to my dad and I as part of an experiment to see how easily we could chase a train westbound through the city after first shooting it at Munger. Sure enough, this territory was all new to us, but as I saw this overpass, I quickly turned off of the main road to get to it, and I'm happy that I did!
