Fall Color in Kansas

Over my lunch hour today, I was thrilled to get out to photograph this incredible consist rolling west down the UP Kansas Sub in Topeka. This was the GSNVHO 22, and at this point, it's just about to roll beneath US 75 on the Golden State Route. As is oddly typical, my car ended up overheating while on the bridge, but after looking into it, everything went back to normal in no time.

The lead unit was CP SD70ACU no. 7014, one of the Maroon & Grey Heritage units with script lettering. The 7014 was originally one of CP's 1997-built SD9043MACs, and it was rebuilt into its current configuration in 2019. Trailing this were the NS D9-40CW 9456, and the BNSF 9653 which is still in its as built BN Grinstein Green!
