Canadian Grain in Kansas
Canadian National SD70M-2 no. 8936 leads a westbound grain train (GBNLOP-19) down the UP Topeka Sub at mp 96 in its namesake city. This is at the west end of the double track, and from here, the train continues on its way towards Herington, and Optima, OK.
Of note with this consist (although not visible here) was the third engine, the CN no. 5261, which is an SD40-2W. It was rebuilt in Montreal in 2012 to serve as an LNG test bed, although it has since been reverted back to its standard configuration.
