Good Night, Big Mac
When I drove by the Topeka Shops after work today, I was happy to have found an old BN, wagon-wheel, Grinstein Green SD70MAC (BNSF 9650) sitting at 4th St. as part of the KPL power set. As such, I made a point of running out on this chilly January evening to get some shots of it, as daylit shots of it would've been horribly backlit.
That being said, night time doesn't care about sun, and the clouds actually turn out to be an asset, as they streak across the sky in these long exposures.
I would've preferred one of the units that still (again?) has a BN logo on the nose, but this is a close second, and far ahead of the empty noses that're out there. Regardless of logo concerns, finding ANY KPL power that's anything but orange has been rare in the last few years, so I'm happy to document the variety when it shows up.
