Classic Iowa City
While I was driving to DSM, I heard some chatter on the radio as I approached Iowa City, so I decided to see what was going on. I was assuming that it was the BICB, but was pleasantly surprised to find the 712 working the ICSW (?) in the yard, and then down the Hill Track.
Ever since the new yard was built in South Amana, use of the Iowa City yard has diminished, and I was really happy to get to see something working in this compact, old Rock Island yard.
