Just coming up over a hill and approaching Soldier Creek at mp 74.82 near Menoken, KS, a surprisingly clean UP 1983 leads the Q-NPINP towards the line's junction with the KP. The P at the tail end of this train's symbol is for "perishable" and typically this train runs with quite a large block of reefers up front, however, on this day, it was not the case. For those familiar with the area, this is at the Landon Rd. crossing, just northwest of Menoken Jct.
