Public Accountability

This is odd in several ways: It is not dated and there is no clue when it was put up. The speed limit of 20 has been marked on the road for several years; if Andy Waddell is only now seeking approval for this does the earlier road marking have no legal bearing, were the road painters idly doodling? Such a notice means that anyone who does not or cannot make it their business to check and read every lamppost in the street on a regular basis is excluded from the process. Could that be Andy Waddell's intention?

The Glasgow City Council (Partick) (Mandatory 20 mph speed limit zone) Order 201_. Glasgow City Council proposes to consider the introduction of the above named traffic regulation order in terms of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
