Deconstruction
"I'm talking to you and it's basically a direct communication, whereas if I'm writing a letter to you and you read the letter, there are like 12 extra deconstruction and reconstruction steps in the communication."
-Kevin J. Anderson
I chose this quote because it speaks to the idea of "direct communication." When one directly speaks to you, if there is any ambiguity that the person may feel, it can be clarified and cleared up then and there, however, when one writes a letter, the interpretation can go which whatever way before any direct contact is made. With this happening one can deconstruct all the meaning that you were trying to convey and reconstruction a whole new set of ideas that combat and have no bearing to what you are trying to say.
I chose this picture because I felt it coincides with the quote, however, just in a different manner. One can be visually stimulated by what goes on around them and deconstruct the meaning of what they are seeing, rather than complete understand directly what they are saying, doing, acting, so on so forth.
