Alf Jefferies 05-09-32 - 17-12-06 Gone but not forgotten died 20 years ago today

Alfred Jefferies, 20 years since you left us Dad, You will always be missed. xxxxxxxxxxxxx In Memory of Alfred Edward Jefferies 5-09-32 - 17-12-06,. the man who produced all of the amazing photographs that we have been sharing.

It's 20 years today since he went so here are some of him for a change. Lots were produced with the use of a timer to slow down the shutter just long enough for him to run round the front and get in the shot too :-) I don't know who took the ones of the Sea Scouts but thank you to them, these are some of Dad's younger years so these have other young Brightlingsea Boys in them. Alf down in James' Yard, the photographer on that day was Alf's big Brother John Jefferies. The last from the top of Bateman's Tower, on an ROC Recognition Duty. I have others from the same day including one, of several that were included, in a book written by Paul Brown, 'The Wivenhoe & Brightlingsea Railway'. Today I also received a parcel from the author, Andy Howdle who has just produced an amazing tome of knowledge & stunning photo's of the history of the Hoveringham company, 'The Story of the Mammoth', Andy has included several of Alf's photo's and given him a very kind mention for his service to recording such a varied history in photographs, Thank you Andy.

And Thank you Alf Jefferies for all the lovely memories, You were the BEST DAD xxx
