xtra_xtra says: We picked this scenic photograph to capture the tranquility of life beyond the city. Danvers is located halfway between Boston and the New Hampshire border, so it's a fine spot for suburban life with easy access to the city.

xtra_xtra says: Danvers was founded in 1630, and the town seal features the phrase "The King Unwilling" to commemorate the British King's refusal to recognize the town's earliest charter. It can be no surprise that this town of patriots holds national pride close to its heart, and that's why we added this fabulous photo of fireworks to the gallery.

xtra_xtra says: The Peabody Institute Library is an historical landmark in Danvers housing over 300,000 volumes of predominantly 19th century texts. The building's white facade earned it a nickname as the "cathedral of books."

xtra_xtra says: This photo captures the beauty of Danvers along with lovely New England colors. We figured the vaulted skies would be a perfect ending for this gallery.
