Quincy is home to Adams National Park, the land that has been preserved to remember the Adams family and the mark they made on young America. John Adams, the second president of the US, was born in Quincy, and his home remains a popular attraction that draws tourists and locals to the region with festivals, tours, and events on the grounds.

Like our collections for South Boston and Cambridge, we had to include a photo of the T in Quincy. The MBTA connects the surrounding towns with Boston, and this haunting photo certainly caught our attention. Buses and the red line deliver Quincy residents to and from home on a daily basis, and that was something worth capturing in this gallery.

This artsy photo made the gallery because it's a great contrast to the photo preceding it. Quincy has the rush of city life, but it's also home to quiet beaches and nature. Raccoon Island is one many local attractions where you can feel the sand between your toes on a nice summer day.

Another photo that elegantly captures the role history has played in Quincy. The USS Salem was built in Quincy, and it was the last all-gun heavy cruiser to enter the US Navy. Visitors can now visit the ship to find a museum and see the inside of a once-active vessel. It's one more way locals and tourists can experience history in Quincy.
Nothing here yet.
