After the inbound performed the work, the Memphis crew is on and rolling with the SD70 doing all the work. What a day of chasing on new territory, with most everything cooperating as much as you could ask for.
As I drove away from this spot the diesel doc answered a tone up, and the engineer informed him that in notch 8 the 1031 was surging between 900 and 300 amps. I'm unsure if they were "allowed" to fire up the trailing unit for the rest of the trip.
