Are Leaves Really that Yellow? Is the Sky So Rich-a-Blue?
To answer the painting's title... heck yes they are! The reality is I actually had to tone the colors back from their full intensity. Granted, they're normally not so deep, bright, and full of harmonious contrast, but when the atmospheric conditions are just right...WOW!! God, the ultimate artist, often opens His palette of extraordinary colors and combination of elements in inconceivable and stunning ways.
I have a fondness for the Fall, as is evidenced by my many depictions of it. There's just something magical about suddenly seeing things which previously hadn't been so noticeable. Trees, hills, and settings which I've walked past hundreds of times without paying any attention, now with their clothing of autumn splendor demand my attention as they easily catch my eye. And, just as if I had a bad case of amnesia, when next year's colors come around once again, I'll be just as amazed at observing their beauty as if it were the very first time.

The artist is both professionally trained and self-taught in traditional art mediums... as well as utilizing the computer for yet another means to a visual end. The final result is computer art with the look and feel of traditional 'painted' art.
